EXAMINATION

Info On Examination & Promotion for students

There are two major examinations In a year, i.e. Half yearly and Final Term, besides internal assessments, 2nd Unit Tests and regular class tests The pass mark is 40%.

Promotion is given on the basis of one year's work and not merely on the marks scored in the exams. Every student must be present for all the major exams. The average of these is taken at the end of the year. Total aggregate of 40% in each subject is a precondition for promotion. Class work and home work will also be assessed and is mandatory for promotion.

EXAMINATION & PROMOTION

  • Parents are requested not to send their sick children to school for any test or an examination
  • 75% attendance in school is mandatory for promotion and Board Examination.
  • There is no provision for a re-test or re-exam.
  • The result declared at the end of the year is final and will not be reconsidered.
  • Ranks will be given only to the students who have answered and passed in every subject.
  • Strict action will be taken against those who resort to unfair means In the examinations. No digital watches to be worn during examination.
  • The evaluated answer scripts and other work done by the students are within the Jurisdiction of the school and therefore no outsider has the right to cheek, scrutinize or claim the answer scripts or any work done by the students. Answer scripts are retained in the school only for a month after the results are published.
  • Evaluated answer scripts are shown to the parents after the first term examinations. Under no circumstances will the answer scripts of the final examination be shown or returned.
  • Unit test portion will not exceed more than 2 chapters.
  • Violation of examination rules will result In the cancellation of the particular paper. A fresh answer sheet will be supplied.
  • No leave application or medical certificate will be considered during a test or an examination.
  • A student absent from an examination Nil! not be re-exammed.
  • In all matters of promotion or failure the Principal's decision is final.
